Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka była kuratorką prac artystyczno-badawczych w zespole, który zrekonstruował stroje na podstawie malowideł z Faras z kolekcji Muzeum Narodowego w Warszawie i Sudańskiego Muzeum Narodowego w Chartumie. W ramach wieloetapowego procesu twórczego, zostało odtworzonych pięć sylwetek: dwa stroje królewskie, dwa stroje matek królewskich i strój biskupa. Prace te stanowiły efekt ścisłej współpracy zespołu archeologów i projektantów. Stroje zostały zaprezentowane w formie pokazu w Muzeum Luwru, w Audytorium Michela Laclotte, w ramach programu Muzeum p.t. "Midis de l'acheologie!". Stroje prezentowano na modelach, by w pełni unaocznić ich fizyczną formę. Sudańczycy wcielający się w rolę dostojników zostali sfotografowani w kościele pastora van Ars w Hadze. Podczas pokazu w Luwrze stroje prezentowano na przedstawicielach wspólnoty sudańskiej we Francji. Następnie stroje ukazały się w formie wystawy czasowej "Dress to Impress" w Muzeum im. Bodego w Berlinie i w formie pokazu w Centrum Nauki Kopernik w Warszawie. Działania zostały zrealizowane we współpracy UW z USWPS i były częścią projektu współfinansowanego przez NCN i program badań i innowacji UE "Horyzont 2020".
Abstract EN
Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka curated the artistic and research work in the team that reconstructed the costumes based on paintings from Faras from the collections of the National Museum in Warsaw and the Sudanese National Museum in Khartoum. As part of a multi-stage creative process, five figures were recreated: two royal costumes, two royal mother costumes, and a bishop's costume. These works were the result of close collaboration between a team of archaeologists and designers. The costumes were presented in a show at the Louvre Museum, in the Michel Laclotte Auditorium, as part of the Museum's program "Midis de l'acheologie!". The costumes were modeled to fully illustrate their physical form. Sudanese people playing the role of dignitaries were photographed in the Church of Pastor van Ars in The Hague. During the show at the Louvre, the costumes were presented on representatives of the Sudanese community in France. The costumes were then presented as a temporary exhibition, "Dress to Impress," at the Bode Museum in Berlin and as a show at the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw. The activities were carried out in collaboration between the University of Warsaw and the SWPS University and were part of a project co-financed by the National Science Centre and the EU's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
