    Konkurs "Obiekt Schówkowy"

The "Storage Object" competition, with Ewa Klekot as a member of the Program Committee, posed the challenge of creating a storage object - a functional piece of applied art, on a furniture scale, lockable, and adapted for storing and concealing items. The competition was organized by the Starak Family Foundation as part of the "Kunszt" program, which aims to support artistic crafts. The competition, like the entire program, is aimed at artists working in the field of designing and making applied and decorative objects. The competition was nationwide.

    Wystawa "Fotografia-tekst. Powtórzenie"

Fundacja Pro Akademika, Muzeum Współczesne Wrocław
    Michał Jakubowicz
The exhibition "Photography-Text. Repetition" was a contemporary exhibition commenting on Jerzy Olek's historic exhibition "Photography - Text" from 1978, while also reflecting on his concept of post-photography. The exhibition presented selected texts by the artist from the 1970s and 1980s, revealing the development of his thinking on photography as a medium transcending the boundaries of the image. The exhibition aimed to reinterpret Olek's ideas in a contemporary context and reignite the discussion about the place of photography in the post-media era. The aim of the exhibition was to preserve and share the legacy of one of Poland's most important theoreticians of photography. The exhibition consisted of several graphic and text boards developed by Julia Piasek from SWPS University, and was based on the Digital Repository of Jerzy Olek's Texts. The exhibition, organized at the Wrocław Contemporary Museum, was part of a project implemented by the Pro Akademika Foundation and financed by the National Reconstruction Plan. The exhibition was accompanied by a discussion with the participation of Anna Rojkowska - the heir, Sylwia Świsłocka-Karwot - director of the Wrocław Contemporary Museum and lecturers from the SWPS University.

Projekt "Cyfrowe repozytorium tekstów Jerzego Olka z lat 1969-1989"

Michał Jakubowicz is the project manager for the "Digital Repository of Jerzy Olek's Texts." The project created a digital research and educational platform presenting and organizing the theoretical work of one of Poland's most important commentators on photography between 1969 and 1989. The collection provides open access to source texts on photography as an artistic medium, such as "photo-medium-art," "generative photography," and "limit states of photography." The repository's function is to provide open access to archival texts, and its goal is to preserve and disseminate Jerzy Olek's legacy in the context of contemporary media art research. The repository contains over 430 texts, supplemented with metadata and keywords. The project's innovation lies in the creation of an ergonomic, low-emissions scholarly repository dedicated to a single author, which can serve as a model for future archiving of critical resources. The project was implemented by the Pro Akademika Foundation, in partnership with SWPS University and the Department of Graphic Arts at SWPS University in Wrocław. The project received financial support from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, from the National Reconstruction Plan.
