    London Design Biennale 2025
"Record of Waiting: on Time and Ornament" is an interdisciplinary exhibition exploring the theme of waiting as a social experience, set in the context of contemporary Poland. The exhibition consists of 12 wooden ornaments (each 80 x 120 cm), hand-carved by woodcarvers from the Podhale region. The entire installation resembles a tablescape, measuring approximately 20 square meters. The exhibition includes flipbooks illustrating waiting, sourcebooks from historical, anthropological, and sociological research, a wall infographic (1.5 x 3 m), and an exhibition catalog with curatorial texts, essays, and photographs. The exhibition took place in the Polish Pavilion at the 2025 London Design Biennale. The theme of this edition was "Surface Reflections." The project, created by the team of Jakub Gawkowski, Monika Rosińska, and Maciej Siuda, won first place in a competition organized by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute. The Biennale organizers honored the exhibition with a medal, recognizing it as "the most inspiring interpretation of the event's theme."
