Abstract PL
Abstract EN
historical disinformation has become one of the major challenges facing martyrdom museums, while the organizational dimension of countering this phenomenon remains insufficiently explored. this article aims to identify and analyze the communication strategies employed by the Press Office of the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum and to conceptualize communication management mechanisms designed to protect the credibility of historical narratives and strengthen the information resilience of audiences. the study adopted a qualitative case study approach, combining participant observation with document analysis and the examination of organizational materials. the analysis identified five complementary categories of activities: reactive, preventive, and proactive communication strategies, organizational capabilities, and cooperation with external stakeholders. the findings indicate that effective countering of historical disinformation requires a systemic approach based on the integration of intervention, educational, and organizational activities. the study resulted in the development of the original Press Office 2.0 Model, which conceptualizes the relationships among the identified communication strategies. the model is conceptual in nature and was developed on the basis of a single qualitative case study. It constitutes an analytical framework that requires further empirical validation in other martyrdom museums, as well as an assessment of the transferability of the identified solutions to different organizational and communication contexts.
