Rzeźba „W ciepłym powietrzu między palcami” autorstwa Alicji Bielawskiej została stworzona specjalnie na wystawę grupową „Na środkowym pasie latem trawa była wysoka” odbywającą się w Muzeum Architektury we Wrocławiu w dniach 14.05-06.09.2026. Wystawa kuratorowana przez Agatę Ciastoń skupiała się na przemianach, politycznych, społecznych i krajobrazowych, jakim na przestrzeni niemal stu lat ulegał dolnośląski odcinek autostrady A4. Alicja Bielawska wykonała rzeźbę używając wełny barwionej własnoręcznie roślinnymi barwnikami na odcienie żółci (użytych zostało 15 m/b tkaniny) i stali. Praca ma wymiary: 180 x 147 x 296 cm. Rzeźba jest inspirowana opowieściami o piknikach na środkowym pasie zieleni autostrady A4. Alicja Bielawska ręcznie barwiła wełnę przy użyciu naturalnych barwników ziela wrotyczu, dziurawca i rumianku, roślin porastających pobocza autostrady i pozwalających na uzyskanie odcieni ciepłych i zimnych żółci. W procesie powstawania pracy korzystała z wiedzy o tradycyjnych technikach barwienia tkanin. Tkanina została ułożona na metalowym stelażu, który formą odnosi do rytmu drogi a miękkie fałdy i warstwy tkaniny odsyłają do koca ułożonego na trawie. Wystawa „Na środkowym pasie latem trawa była wysoka” była współfinansowana ze środków Fundacji Współpracy Polsko-Niemieckiej.

The sculpture "In Warm Air Between the Toes" by Alicja Bielawska was created specifically for the group exhibition "In the Middle Strip in Summer, the Grass Was Tall," held at the Museum of Architecture in Wrocław from May 14 to September 6, 2026. The exhibition, curated by Agata Skórań, focused on the political, social, and landscape transformations that the Lower Silesian section of the A4 motorway has undergone over nearly a century. Alicja Bielawska created the sculpture using wool, hand-dyed with plant dyes in shades of yellow (15 m/b of fabric was used), and steel. The work measures 180 x 147 x 296 cm. The sculpture is inspired by stories of picnics on the central green belt of the A4 motorway. Alicja Bielawska hand-dyed wool using natural dyes from tansy, St. John's wort, and chamomile, plants found along the highway verges, which allow for the creation of warm and cool shades of yellow. In creating the work, she drew on her knowledge of traditional fabric dyeing techniques. The fabric was laid on a metal frame, whose form evokes the rhythm of the road, while the soft folds and layers of the fabric evoke a blanket laid on the grass. The exhibition "The Grass Was Tall in the Middle Lane in Summer" was co-financed by the Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation.
