"Whispers" to rzeźba autorstwa dr. Oskara Zięty, w której powstawaniu uczestniczyła publiczność. Londyńczycy zgromadzili się w Fleet Street Quarter, by wspólnie z autorem nadmuchać, zdeformować i tym samym ustabilizować stalową strukturę, jednocześnie współuczestnicząc w procesie jej kształtowania. O wyjątkowości dzieła zdecydowało zastosowanie innowacyjnej technologii oraz akt zaproszenia odbiorców do aktywnego uczestnictwa w powstawaniu pracy. Rzeźba została zaprezentowała w ramach London Festival of Architecture 2025 na Fleet Street Quarter. Rzeźba stanowi zachętę do zabierania głosu. Dzięki walorom akustycznym stalowych powierzchni niezależnie od tego, czy mówimy cicho, czy nawet szeptem, możemy w jej otoczniu nawiązać znaczący kontakt. Instalacja była współfinansowana przez Ministerstwo Spraw Zagranicznych RP, Instytutem Kultury Polskiej w Londynie, Fundacją Let’s Art oraz On & On Designs, w ramach "UK/Poland Season 2025", programu organizowanego przez British Council.
Abstract EN
"Whispers" is a sculpture by Dr. Oskar Zięta, whose creation involved the public. Londoners gathered in Fleet Street Quarter to inflate, deform, and thus stabilize the steel structure, while simultaneously participating in the process of shaping it. The work's uniqueness stemmed from the use of innovative technology and the invitation to the audience to actively participate in its creation. The sculpture was presented as part of the London Festival of Architecture 2025 in Fleet Street Quarter. The sculpture encourages people to speak up. Thanks to the acoustic qualities of the steel surfaces, whether we speak quietly or even whisper, we can establish meaningful connection within its surroundings. The installation was co-financed by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Polish Cultural Institute in London, the Let's Art Foundation, and On & On Designs, as part of "UK/Poland Season 2025," a program organized by the British Council.
