Książka artystyczna "The Edge of the Vessel at the Height of My Mouth" prezentuje dwadzieścia pięć prac rysunkowych Alicji Bielawskiej. Prace zostały oryginalnie wykonane w formacie 42 x 31 cm kredką i ołówkiem. Pochodzą z okresu 2022-2023 i nie zostały wcześniej upublicznione. Motywem przewodnim rysunków jest potraktowany linearnie archetypiczny kształt naczynia. Na rysunkach obrysy naczyń calowo nakładają się na siebie tworząc wielowarstwowe relacje między kształtami. Na części rysunków pojawia się motyw siatki i kratki rysowany odręcznie lub w postaci siatki na papierze milimetrowym, co stanowi odniesienie do zagadnienia błędu. Rysunkom towarzyszy zbiór tekstów Alicji Bielawskiej: poezji i fragmentów prozy. Książka została wydana w 2025 roku w języku angielskim przez wydawnictwo Bored Wolves, w nakładzie 500 egzemplarzy. Publikacja została drukowana w kolorze, liczy 80 stron, w formacie 19×26 cm, w oprawie miękkiej. Autorami projektu graficznego książki są Pilar Rojo i Stefana Lorenzutti. Książka w maju 2026 r. otrzymała wyróżnienie w 66. Konkursie Polskiego Towarzystwa Wydawców Książek "Najpiękniejsze Polskie Książki 2025", w kategorii Sztuka.
Abstract EN
The artist's book "The Edge of the Vessel at the Height of My Mouth" presents twenty-five drawings by Alicja Bielawska. The works were originally created in a 42 x 31 cm format using crayon and pencil. They are from 2022-2023 and have not been previously published. The drawings are based on a linear approach to the archetypal shape of a vessel. In the drawings, the outlines of the vessels overlap incrementally, creating multi-layered relationships between shapes. Some drawings feature a grid or grid motif, drawn by hand or as a grid on graph paper, which addresses the issue of error. The drawings are accompanied by a collection of Alicja Bielawska's texts: poetry and prose fragments. The book was published in 2025 in English by Bored Wolves in a limited edition of 500 copies. The publication is printed in color, has 80 pages, measures 19 x 26 cm, and is paperback. The book's graphic design was created by Pilar Rojo and Stefana Lorenzutti. In May 2026, the book received an honorable mention in the 66th Polish Book Publishers Association Competition "Most Beautiful Polish Books 2025" in the Art category.
