Paweł Starzec wraz z Pawłem Piotrowiczem, na zaproszenie BWA Wrocław, współtworzyli koncepcję kuratorską i projekt realizacyjny wystawy p.t. "Scena z miasta. Wrocław niezależny lat 90.". Projekt wyrósł z działalności stowarzyszenia Wrocławska Niezależna Scena Muzyczna i z projektów realizowanych wcześniej – serii publikacji Wrocławska niezależna scena muzyczna i Dolnośląska niezależna scena muzyczna, a także wystaw "Dzikie pola. Historia awangardowego Wrocławia" (Zachęta, 2015) oraz "Czarna wiosna. Wokół wrocławskiej niezależnej sceny muzycznej lat 80." (Muzeum Współczesne Wrocław, 2017). Wystawa w dominującym stopniu została oparta na wcześniej niepublikowanych materiałach archiwalnych – fotografiach i filmach dokumentujących wydarzenia lat 90 we Wrocławiu i działalność sceny muzycznej i kontrkultury. Paweł Starzec był odpowiedzialny za uporządkowanie materiałów zebranych w ramach kwerendy, opracowanie koncepcji kuratorskiej i przestrzennej wystawy, napisanie jednego z dwóch tekstów towarzyszących, przygotowanie opracowania dwóch instalacji audio/video oraz przygotowanie produkcyjne materiałów fotograficznych. Wystawa miała miejsce w BWA Wrocław w okresie od 6 marca do 17 maja 2026. Patronat medialny nad wydarzeniem pełniły: Radio RAM, Radio Wrocław, Radio Wrocław Kultura, Pismo Artystyczne Format, Miej Miejsce, TVP3 Wrocław, TVP Info, TVP Kultura. Wystawa okazała się dużym sukcesem frekwencyjnym - w trakcie weekendu otwierającego wystawę, odwiedziło ją ponad 600 osób.
Abstract EN
Paweł Starzec and Paweł Piotrowicz, at the invitation of the BWA Wrocław, co-created the curatorial concept and implementation project for the exhibition "City Scene: Wrocław’s Independent Culture of the 1990s". The project grew out of the activities of the Wrocław Independent Music Scene association and earlier projects – the series of publications "Wrocław Independent Music Scene" and "Lower Silesian Independent Music Scene," as well as the exhibitions "Wild Fields. The History of the Avant-Garde Wrocław" (Zachęta, 2015) and "Black Spring. Around the Wrocław Independent Music Scene of the 1980s" (Wrocław Contemporary Museum, 2017). The exhibition is largely based on previously unpublished archival materials – photographs and films documenting the events of the 1990s in Wrocław and the activities of the music scene and counterculture. Paweł Starzec was responsible for organizing the materials collected during the research, developing the curatorial and spatial concept for the exhibition, writing one of the two accompanying texts, preparing the design for two audio/video installations, and preparing the production of the photographic materials. The exhibition took place at the BWA Wrocław from March 6 to May 17, 2026. Media patrons for the event included Radio RAM, Radio Wrocław, Radio Wrocław Kultura, the Format Artistic Magazine, Miej Miejsce, TVP3 Wrocław, TVP Info, and TVP Kultura. The exhibition proved to be a major success in terms of attendance, with over 600 visitors during the opening weekend.
