Rzeźba "Colossus vase" autorstwa Arkadiusza Szweda została wykonana z porcelany, praca stanowi wielomodułowy obiekt klejony wykonany w technice odlewu w formie gipsowej, szkliwiony. Obiekt ma wysokość 56 cm i średnicę 31 cm. Praca została zaprezentowana na wystawie REGENERATION - wystawie polskiego designu, prezentującej najnowsze trendy i projekty w kontekście odpowiedzialności, solidarności oraz przyszłości, w ramach prezentacji Polski w Unii Europejskiej w Brukseli i Strasburgu. Ekspozycja odbywała się w budynkach Rady Unii Europejskiej oraz Parlamentu Europejskiego. Wystawę zorganizował Instytut Adama Mickiewicza w ramach międzynarodowego programu kulturalnego Polskiej Prezydencji w Radzie Unii Europejskiej. Opiekę kuratorską nad wystawą pełniła Katarzyna Baumiller. Wystawa była otwarta od 14.01.2025 do 24.06.2025. Praca znalazła się w II etapie I. edycji Międzynarodowego Triennale Rzeźby Ceramicznej, organizowanego przez ASP w Warszawie i była prezentowana na wystawie finalistów tego konkursu w okresie 26.06-26.10.2025.
Abstract EN
Arkadiusz Szwed's "Colossus Vase" sculpture is made of porcelain. The work is a multi-module, glued object made using plaster casting and glazed. The object is 56 cm high and 31 cm in diameter. The work was presented at the REGENERATION exhibition – an exhibition of Polish design showcasing the latest trends and projects in the context of responsibility, solidarity, and the future, as part of Poland's presentation in the European Union in Brussels and Strasbourg. The exhibition took place in the buildings of the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament. The exhibition was organized by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute as part of the international cultural program of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Katarzyna Baumiller served as curator. The exhibition was open from January 14, 2025, to June 24, 2025. The work was included in the second stage of the first edition of the International Ceramic Sculpture Triennial, organized by the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and was presented at the exhibition of the competition finalists between June 26 and October 26, 2025.
