Na cykl prac składają się dwa projekty: 1. Modułowe obiekty wykonane w technice ubijania gliny. Podstawą projektu była lokalna glina świętokrzyska, wzbogacona pyłem otrzymanym z gliny islandzkiej. Wyjściowo moduły miały wymiary 10×10×10 cm, które następnie modyfikowałam, wykorzystując odpady z cegielni w Rytwianach. 2. Cykl eksperymentów ze szkliwem, wykorzystanym do pokrycia jedenastu płytek o wymiarach 5×10 cm. Zależało mi na uzyskaniu zróżnicowanej intensywności koloru i faktury szkliwa poprzez zmianę narzędzia oraz proporcji użytego pigmentu. Do opracowania szkliwa posłużyła mi glina islandzka. Prace powstały podczas polsko-islandzkich warsztatów "Z drewna i gliny: glina", zrealizowanych w Instytucie Dizajnu w Kielcach. Prace zostały zaprezentowane na wystawie "Glina Świętokrzyska", prezentowanej w Instytucie Dizajnu w Kielcach oraz na festiwalu Gdynia Design Days. Organizatorem wydarzenia był Narodowy Instytut Architektury i Urbanistyki. Współorganizatorzy: Instytut Dizajnu w Kielcach, Muzeum Architektury we Wrocławiu. Partnerzy: Uniwersytet Sztuk Pięknych w Islandii Listaháskóli Íslands oraz Muzeum Narodowe w Norwegii Nasjonalmuseet.
Abstract EN
The series of works consists of two projects: 1. Modular objects made using the rammed clay technique. The basis for the project was local Świętokrzyskie clay, enriched with dust obtained from Icelandic clay. The modules initially measured 10x10x10 cm, which I then modified using waste from the brickyard in Rytwiany. 2. A series of experiments with glaze, used to cover eleven 5x10 cm tiles. I aimed to achieve varying color intensity and texture of the glaze by varying the tool and pigment proportions. I used Icelandic clay to develop the glaze. The works were created during the Polish-Icelandic workshop "From Wood and Clay: Clay," held at the Design Institute in Kielce. The works were presented at the "Glina Świętokrzyska" exhibition at the Design Institute in Kielce and at the Gdynia Design Days festival. The event was organized by the National Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning. Co-organizers: the Design Institute in Kielce, the Museum of Architecture in Wrocław. Partners: the University of Fine Arts in Iceland (Listaháskóli Íslands) and the National Museum of Norway (Nasjonalmuseet).
