dc.abstract.enThe subject of the considerations is the language of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland of 1997, analyzed not from the point of view of linguistic correctness, but from the point of view of using certain language phrases in the legal act. The considerations concern whether the text of a legal act of a fundamental nature for the state system, which is the Constitution, meets the requirements for clarity of regulation and its understanding for its addressees, i.e. not only state bodies but also citizens.
dc.abstract.plPrzedmiotem rozważań jest język Konstytucji RP z 1997 roku , analizowany nie z punktu widzenia poprawności lingwistycznej, a z punktu widzenia używania określonych zwrotów językowych w akcie prawnym. Rozważania dotyczą tego, czy tekst aktu prawnego o charakterze fundamentalnym dla ustroju państwa, jakim jest Konstytucja, spełnia wymagania co do jasności regulacji i jej zrozumienia dla adresatów, czyli nie tylko organów państwa ale również obywateli.

dc.description.abstract<jats:p>Language of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland. Selected Issues The subject of this article is the language of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, analysed not from the perspective of linguistic correctness, but rather from the viewpoint of the usage of linguistic expressions within a legal act. It addresses the question of whether the text of a legal act of fundamental importance to the state’s political system meets the requirements for clarity of regulation and its comprehensibility for its addressees, which include not only state authorities but also citizens. We consider the identity of terms appearing in the Constitution in different forms, such as “citizen” and “Polish citizen”. We also address general constitutional terms, for example, “justice”, and their impact on the interpretation of norms. The conclusions are directed towards entities drafting legislative texts that must be consistent with the Constitution. Clarifying constitutional ambiguities is of fundamental importance for future legislation. </jats:p>
