dc.abstract.enThis dataset contains data from a study on the policy response of Polish public authorities to the migration crisis caused by the escalation of Russian aggression against Ukraine on 24 February 2022. More specifically, the study focuses on variability of solutions designed and implemented on the local level. Data cover 12 metropolitan cities aligned in the Union of Polish Metropolises (Bialystok, Bydgoszcz, Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Lublin, Lodz, Poznan, Rzeszow, Szczecin, Warsaw, Wroclaw). This dataset contains 2 types of data separated into 2 folders: Folder "IDI" - with anonymised textual data from 26 interviews. 12 interviews with city officials engaged in the design and implementation of cities' policy response (marked "UM") in several cases interviews were supplemented by additional conversations when the first expert did not have enough knowledge on one of the subjects; 12 interviews with representatives of local NGOs engaged in the provision of help to refugees - experts from outside city offices (marked "NGO"); 2 interviews with experts engaged in the policy response to refugee influx on the national level (subfolder "Poziom centralny"). Interviews served as a supplementary source of data collected in desk research. Folder "FGI" - with anonymised textual data from 12 focus groups with the target population: refugees and residents of host cities. Their goal was to understand the perception of policies under scrutiny. Folder "Documentation" - with scenarios of interviews and focus groups.
