Abstract PL
Abstract EN
The right to contact with family and outside world is very important for convicts and pre-trial detainees. Keeping in touch with families is an influential factor for people deprived of liberty. The major amendment to the Executive Penal Code in August 2022 introduced a number of changes in Poland regarding this issue, limiting both telephone and correspondence contacts. In the text I am discussing these changes, showing the practice of implementation of the new legislation. I am also presenting information on the possibility of using Internet to maintain contact with families and regulations regarding standard visits.
