Abstract PL
Abstract EN
The article refers to dignity of prisoners so people who are in vulnerable position because of the fact of being deprived of liberty. International conventions as well as recommendations of the Council of Europe and the United Nations refer to the treatment of prisoners underlining that all persons deprived of liberty shall be treated with the respect of their inherent dignity. The publication gives examples of situations when the infringement of that rule can be indicated. In practice national law as well as practice of penitentiary officers must be consistent with this basic regulation provided within international binding law or within soft law.
