Rozdział analizuje zjawisko dezinformacji z perspektywy psychologicznej, uwzględniając jego wpływ na społeczeństwo oraz jednostkę. Autor omawia mechanizmy poznawcze, które sprawiają, że ludzie są podatni na fałszywe informacje, w tym błędy poznawcze, efekt potwierdzenia oraz heurystyki myślenia. Przedstawione są również strategie manipulacyjne wykorzystywane w mediach społecznościowych i tradycyjnych, a także sposoby przeciwdziałania dezinformacji poprzez edukację medialną i krytyczne myślenie. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na rolę emocji i polaryzacji społecznej w rozprzestrzenianiu nieprawdziwych treści.
Abstract EN
The chapter examines the phenomenon of disinformation from a psychological perspective, considering its impact on society and individuals. The author discusses cognitive mechanisms that make people susceptible to false information, including cognitive biases, confirmation bias, and heuristics. Manipulative strategies used in both social and traditional media are analyzed, along with methods to counteract disinformation through media literacy and critical thinking. Special attention is given to the role of emotions and social polarization in the spread of false content.
