Abstract PL
Abstract EN
The chapter discusses the most important areas of research on the memory conformity effect, which involves the inclusion of incorrect information (misinformation) in memory accounts concerning a particular event obtained by a witness as a result of another witness’s account of the same event. The mechanisms of this phenomenon, research into its correlates and determinants, and research into methods of reduction are discussed. Moreover, experimental methods used in testing memory conformity effect are described.
