Constitutional background and the practice of impeachment in the United States

dc.abstract.plThe subject of the author’s reflection is the institution of impeachment provided for in the US Constitution. The subject of analysis is its genesis in the American system, its subject and object scope, as well as the procedural aspects related to its application. The author also presents reflections on the sanctions that are applied under impeachment. The study is completed with analyses of the practical aspects of the use of this institution in the United States, especially in recent years.
