Celem monografii jest analiza koncepcji transparentnego, czyli jawnego dla opinii publicznej, postępowania w traktatowym arbitrażu inwestycyjnym pomiędzy inwestorem a państwem. W ramach przeprowadzonych badań przeanalizowano koncepcję transparentności w wybranych traktatach inwestycyjnych oraz regulaminach arbitrażowych. Centralnym instrumentem poddanym analizie jest Regulamin Transparentności UNCITRAL w traktatowym arbitrażu pomiędzy inwestorem a państwem (UNCITRAL Rules on Transparency in Treaty-based Investor-State Arbitration), który zawiera kompleksowe uregulowanie tej tematyki.
