Wykonany przez Piotra Szewczyka cykl prac pt. "Bębny malarskie" to pięć obiektów malarskich, z których można uzyskiwać dźwięk poprzez jednoczesną ingerencję w powierzchnię obrazu. Obiekty zostały wykonane na płótnie lnianym o średnicach od 40 cm do 61 cm. Cykl powstał w ramach projektu "Entanglement 4 #Melody" i został zaprezentowany na wystawie „Documenta 15” w Kassel, która jest organizowana przez Museum Fridericianum i jest jednym z najważniejszych wydarzeń sztuki współczesnej na świecie. Prace zostały zaprezentowane w Galerii Grafiki Uniwersytetu SWPS we Wrocławiu w ramach Exit Code 8. Mediations Biennale Polska oraz na indywidualnej wystawie autora p.t. "Doskonale trwające teraz" w Galerii Intymna w Katowicach, zorganizowanej przez Dom Oświatowy Biblioteki Śląskiej, w ramach cyklu p.t. "Pola widzenia książki – opowieści otwarte".
Abstract EN
Piotr Szewczyk's series of works entitled "Painting Drums" consists of five painted objects that produce sound by simultaneously interfering with the painting's surface. The objects were created on linen canvas with diameters ranging from 40 cm to 61 cm. The series was created as part of the "Entanglement 4 #Melody" project and was presented at the "Documenta 15" exhibition in Kassel, organized by the Museum Fridericianum and one of the most important contemporary art events in the world. The works were presented at the Graphic Arts Gallery of SWPS University in Wrocław as part of Exit Code 8. Mediations Biennale Polska, and at the artist's solo exhibition "Perfectly Lasting Now" at the Intymna Gallery in Katowice, organized by the Silesian Library Educational Center, as part of the series "Fields of View in a Book – Open Stories."
