Publikacja "Sustainable Transitions through Democratic Design: Insights and Reflections on Doctoral Training" powstała pod redakcją międzynarodowego grona ekspertów i ekspertek, w tym dr hab. Karola Murlak i zawiera teksty 15 autorów, między innymi z University of the Arts London, Aalborg University i Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Punktem wyjścia dla publikacji jest ewolucja kształcenia doktorantów w dziedzinie projektowania. Daje też ona rekomendacje z zakresu przygotowania absolwentów do mierzenia się ze złożonymi wyzwaniami społeczno-środowiskowymi, integracji sztucznej inteligencji oraz rozwijania kompetencji przywódczych w obszarze projektowania usług i polityk publicznych. Przedstawiono w niej metody i narzędzia stosowane w ramach projektu CoDesign4Transitions - takie jak "PhD Canvas" - które mają na celu wspieranie doktorantów w inicjowaniu zmian, we współpracy wewnątrz grupy i z zewnątrz oraz w wymianie wiedzy. Wydawcą ponad sześćdziesięciostronicowej publikacji jest cieszący się międzynarodową renomą Wydział Projektowania Politechniki w Mediolanie.

"Sustainable Transitions through Democratic Design: Insights and Reflections on Doctoral Training" was edited by an international group of experts, including Dr. Karol Murlak, and features contributions from 15 authors, including those from the University of the Arts London, Aalborg University, and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. The publication draws on the evolution of doctoral education in design. It also offers recommendations for preparing graduates to address complex socio-environmental challenges, integrating artificial intelligence, and developing leadership competencies in service and policy design. It presents methods and tools used within the CoDesign4Transitions project - such as the "PhD Canvas" - that aim to support doctoral students in initiating change, collaborating within and outside the group, and exchanging knowledge. The over sixty-page publication is published by the internationally renowned Department of Design at the Politecnico di Milano.
