dc.abstract.enThe increasing number of divorces results in longer waiting times for cases to be heard in the courts. Therefore, there are demands to speed up or straighten divorce proceedings, including proposals for assistance facilitating divorce. One such evidence is given to a notary public to draw up a notarial deed establishing the dissolution of the marriage. The article answers the question of whether it is time to allow the public notary to dissolve marriages by divorces. In addition, the provisions of selected countries in which it is allowed to dissolve a marriage by divorce before a notary public are presented.
